🍌 Banana Cobbler

Ingredients (Serves 6)

Filling

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Cobbler Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter

Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips


Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish

2. Make the Filling

  • Spread sliced bananas evenly in the baking dish
  • Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt over bananas
  • Drizzle with melted butter and vanilla

3. Make the Topping

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
  2. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined
  3. Gently spoon batter over the bananas (don’t spread— it will settle while baking)

4. Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes
  • Top should be golden and filling bubbly around the edges

5. Serve

  • Let cool for 10 minutes
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or custard
