Here’s a rich, indulgent recipe for Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce—a restaurant-style pasta dish you can make at home.

🍝 Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce

⭐ Serves: 4

⏱ Total Time: ~30–35 minutes

🧾 Ingredients

For the chicken

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter

For the pasta

  • 12 oz (340 g) linguine
  • Salted water for boiling

For the Alfredo sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional, adds depth)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

🔪 Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

  1. Boil linguine in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup pasta water.

2. Cook the chicken

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove from skillet and let rest 5 minutes, then slice into strips.

3. Make the Alfredo sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt 4 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese gradually, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.

4. Combine

  1. Add cooked linguine to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat.
  2. Top with sliced chicken.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately with garlic bread or a side salad.

✨ Tips & Variations

  • Extra creaminess: Add 2–3 oz cream cheese to the sauce while simmering.
  • Veggie boost: Sauté mushrooms, spinach, or broccoli in the sauce before adding pasta.
  • Lighter option: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream, but reduce slightly to avoid a runny sauce.
  • Spicy kick: Add red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce.

I can also make a one-pan version that cooks the chicken and pasta together for faster cleanup and even more flavor infusion.
