Here’s a delicious recipe for Supreme Pork Chops—juicy pork chops in a creamy, flavorful sauce, perfect for an elegant dinner.
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried)
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the pork chops
- Season pork chops generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Make the sauce
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and onion (and mushrooms if using) for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- Add chicken broth and scrape the pan to loosen browned bits.
- Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Finish cooking the pork
- Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon sauce over them.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes until pork is cooked through (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C).
- Serve
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
✅ Tips:
- For extra flavor, sear pork chops with a bit of butter in addition to olive oil.
- You can swap cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Adding a splash of white wine before the cream adds extra depth to the sauce.
I can also give a one-pan oven-baked version of Supreme Pork Chops that’s minimal cleanup and just as creamy. Do you want that version?
